What is Literacy Intervention?
Literacy Intervention allows your child to receive small group instruction with a focus geared toward the skill your child is in most need of. Reading goals are created and success is monitored closely to ensure levels of growth and achievement.
Your child will be placed in a targeted intervention group to help achieve his/her goals. This occurs during your child's Reading Intervention/Enrichment (Reading I/E) time. Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension are possible areas of instruction during this intervention time.
